Contract Anesthesia Provider (CRNA or CAA) Job Summary:

Wesley Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Anesthesia Provider (CRNA or CAA) to join our surgical team. Under the direction of the Chief of Anesthesiology, you will be responsible for the full continuum of anesthesia care—from pre-anesthetic evaluation to post-operative recovery. You will work with a diverse patient population across all types of surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.

Contract Anesthesia Provider (CRNA or CAA) Job Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care: Administer general anesthesia and sedation for a wide variety of surgical procedures and special cases.

  • Patient Assessment: Evaluate patient physical status and surgical needs prior to procedures; assess patient response to agents and drugs during surgery.

  • Airway & Vital Management: Manage patient airways using standard techniques and intervene immediately to support vital signs as required.

  • Full Cycle Management: Responsible for pre-anesthetic evaluation, anesthetic management, and post-anesthetic evaluation of surgical patients.

  • Equipment & Documentation: Prepare and operate all anesthesia-related equipment; maintain accurate, real-time records of all procedures performed.

  • Patient Transport: Safely transport patients to the Operating Room, PACU, or ICU, providing comprehensive and accurate hand-off reports.

Contract Anesthesia Provider (CRNA or CAA) Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 1-2 years ICU experience
  • Anesthesia experience (3 years required)

For Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA):

  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.

  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.

  • Graduate of an approved School of Anesthesia for Nurses.

  • Certified by an appropriate national credentialing process (NBCRNA).

For Physician Assistant Anesthetists (CAA):

  • Baccalaureate degree.

  • Graduate of an approved program of anesthesia for Physician Assistants (AA-C).

  • Certified by an appropriate credentialing process (NCCAA).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proficiency with all Point of Care (POC) instruments used in the Operating Room.

  • Participate in department education and self-directed continuing education.

  • Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance with all healthcare governing agencies.

  • Maintain open communication with medical staff regarding the progress of anesthesia.
