Job Title: Dental Assistant-Correctional
Pay Range: $30-32/hour
Schedule: Part-time, day shift 16 hours/week (Wednesdays and Fridays)
Contract Assignment Start: ASAP once cleared
Wesley Medical Staffing is currently seeking and hiring a Licensed Dental Assistant for a contract correctional position in Ramsey County, Minnesota.
The dental assistant works as a team member to provide dental services in the correctional care setting. The dental assistant is an intermediate level individual contributor who works under direct supervision on a basic task assigned related work.
Contract Correctional Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Ability to provide outstanding dental assisting and customer service
- Ability to maintain professional, positive, and productive relationships
- Good computer skills
- Maintain, track, dental tools and materials, take impressions, fabricate provisional crowns, take x-rays, fulfill surgical assistant role
- Assist in performing lab procedures as assigned
- Prepare dental instrument sterilization
- Perform dental duties including applying sealants, apply fluoride, delivery of oral hygiene instructions and patient education as assigned
- Comply with OSHA and infection control policies
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with consumers the public and co workers
Contract Correctional Dental Assistant Requirements:
- Active Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) license issued by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive Ramsey County background check
