Position Summary
Wesley Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated
School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contract assignment in
Poplar, MT. In this role, you will deliver exceptional care within a
Tribal Health Program setting, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize student health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Provide immediate medical care to students, administer prescribed medications, monitor chronic student conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes), and handle basic triage and first aid.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate actively with school staff, parents, Indian Health Service (IHS) providers, and tribal health nursing staff to streamline and optimize care delivery.
- Patient Education: Educate students, families, and school personnel regarding diagnoses, illness prevention, hygiene, and treatment plans; answer clinical questions thoroughly.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain precise, compliant electronic health records of student visits, immunization tracking, interventions, and care plans.
Job Requirements
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted LPN license in any of the 50 states (federal/tribal setting). Montana License prefferred.
- Certifications: Active BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Core Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in this discipline.
- Setting Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a pediatric, clinic, public health, or school health environment.
- Travel/Flexibility: Willingness to travel to assigned healthcare facilities, including remote or rural regions if applicable.
- Screening: Willingness to undergo a standard background check and required medical compliance screenings.
