Location: New Mexico
Shifts: 84 hrs per period, 12 hr day/night, rotating weekends and holidays
Term: 7/1/25-12/31/25 + opportunity to extend
Pay Package: $3,000+/week including travel per diem; Option for 401k or Health Plan enrollment
 
Currently looking for experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurses (RNs) to fill contract openings in a government healthcare facility located in Gallup, NM in the emergency room department, providing care to all assigned patients with medical surgical, pediatrics, ambulatory or emergency conditions.
 
Responsibilities of the Contract Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Assess, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patient care needs on the unit and adjusts personnel assignments appropriately, after consulting with the Emergency Room/Urgent Care Department Charge Nurse or Supervisor; assess the delivery of nursing care in the Emergency Room/Urgent Care Department and identifies problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Initiates treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures based on appropriate utilization of standing orders and Emergency Room/Urgent Care Department protocols; operates specialized equipment.
  • Administers therapeutic and emergency measures as prescribed by the physician or mid-level provider, such as medications, treatments, procedures, and intravenous fluids, while adhering to current scientific knowledge, principles of safety and infection control.
  • Assists in the review and revision of nursing policies and procedures, as directed by the Emergency Room/Urgent Care Supervisor.
  • Consults with providers and other health care professionals to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for patients; implements nursing interventions based in accordance with patient care standards.
 
Requirements of the Travel Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in any of the 50 states
  • 2-years of Emergency Room experience REQUIRED
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS Certs
  • Willingness to travel to remote healthcare facilities
  • Willingness to undergo a background check
