Shifts and Contract Length:
- 12 hour shifts available: 7a-7p OR 7p-7a
- Every other weekend is required
- 13-week assignments
Pay Package: $29-31/hour depending on shift, no travel per diem available
Currently looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to fill inpatient behavioral health contract openings in Savannah, GA. Interested candidates should have 1-year psychiatric inpatient, corrections, or detox experience as an LPN.

Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Administers medications, assists with patient teaching, assists Health Aides and other staff with patient care and non-clinical tasks.
- Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors.
- Documents care according to policy, provides direct care, and participates with patients in divisional activities.
- Records and reports all observed signs, symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in the patient's condition to the Registered Nurse.
- Follows policies and procedures in reporting medication errors. Administers medications to patients, orally or by injection, including intra-venous medications and treatments.
- Participates with interdisciplinary team. Assists with admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
- Takes action to ensure patients' safety and to maintain a safe environment.
- Participates in team meetings, development of plan of care, and shift reports.
- Be able to recognize Medical Emergencies and respond appropriately.
- Responds to hospital codes as appropriate.
Requirements of the Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN in the state of Georgia (or from a qualifying nurse licensure compact state, if applicable)
- Minimum of 1-year work experience REQUIRED in an inpatient psych, corrections or detox setting as an LPN
- BLS Certification
- Willingness to undergo a background check
